I will be driving the VJO bus for a Sweetheart Swing Big Band Dance on Friday Feb 18 from 7:30 - 10:00 PM. The event will be held at the Poinsettia Pavilion Ballroom 3451 Foothill Road in Ventura CA. $12 at the door with free refreshments and parking. More info call 805-6481143

I will be driving the bus for the VJO Big Band on Saturday December 4 from 7:30 - 10:30 PM for a holiday swing dance.

The 18 piece big band is great and has an excellent male & female vocalist. We'll be preforming some very cool contempoary holiday music plus the traditional big band swing tunes.

The gig is at the Poinsettia Pavilion 3451 Foothill Blvd in Ventura CA - $12 at the door - free refreshments & parking - info @

I will be playing my lunchtime (11:30 AM - 2 PM) solo gig at the Harbor Cove Cafe the first 3 weekends (Sat - Sun) in October (Oct 2-3,9-10, 16-17).

The Cafe is located at the very end of Spinnaker Dr in Ventura Harbor. Its such a cool , casual, dog friendly on the water place to hang out ... I just love playing there!

Due to my Big Band Gig on Friday (Aug 20) and other commitments for the weekend I will not be at the Harbor Cove Cafe Aug 20 - 22. Will get back to my normal schedule the following week.

The Harbor Cove Cafe is a great little place located on the end of Spinnaker Drive in Ventura Harbor with a million dallar view of the Harbor and CA coastline. Its a very casual - dog friendly - place that seves great food at a reasonable price - YOU'LL LOVE IT THERE ! Stop by and say Hi - would love to see you.

I plan to be there every weekend in April - Saturdays & Sundays. Please note I will be preforming outside on the harbor walkway and all shows are weather permitting - my old guitars (+ me!) don't like the rain - wind or cold!

I've got another music project going now. I just took over the drum (Rockin)chair with an 18 piece Big Band called VJO (Ventura Jazz Orchestra). They play classic WWII big band swing music + some contemporary stuff. Its a real kick in the pants! The band swings and I drive em hard!

We will be playing 3 sets this Thursday Jan 21 from 7:30 to 10:30 PM at the Famous Sports Bar and Grill - 821 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd. - Thousand Oaks CA. There's no cover so if you're in town stop by and say Hi - would love to see your smilin face!

I know ...... I know ...... its been a long time since I've updated this ..... I'm sorry. I have been busy working on my music but sometimes life gets in the way.
I'm finally coming out of the closet and playing my music out this weekend. I will be at the Harbor Cove Cafe on Saturday and Sunday (Oct 31 & Nov 1) from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM. I played there for the first time last Sunday and was pleased with the results. I'll be doing a single and playing the tracks off my Rockin Chair CD + some new material + some covers.
The Harbor Cove Cafe is a very casual cool little place located on the very end of Spinnaker Drive in Ventura Harbor. They serve great breakfast and lunches there ... nothin real "fancy" or expensive and the view of the harbor is just GREAT !! So if you happen to be out and about this sunny weekend ..... I would love to see your smilin face .... stop by and say Hi :-)

I just wanted to send out an update on what's happening with me and my music. It was such a great feeling to get the "My Rockin' Chair" CD released in April. As most of you know it had been a goal of mine for sometime to make my own music CD. I can't tell you the exhilaration and sense of accomplishment I felt when the CD shipment arrived at my house. It was one of the best days of my life ... I can only hope that you all, in your own way, will have a similar experience in your lifetime.

Since then I've been working on the CD material with hopes of playing a few local gigs. I've played at a few "open mike" venues and its getting better all the time but I still feel I'm not quite ready to come "out of the closet" yet and perform live. I will keep you advised.

I've also started work on my 2nd CD. I've acquired a new digital multitrack recorder and a vocal processor that I'm very excited about. With these new tools and my improving guitar skills I hope to take my 2nd CD to the next level. I've written the first song that I call "This Old Shed" that I feel is a special song that tries to capture the feeling of the "Empty Nest" syndrome ... a Baby Boomer issue. I've got a lot of work to do to make the 2nd CD a reality but I'm off and runnin. I'm looking forward to this new project and all it's possibilities. Again I will keep you advised.

I've also been having fun playing drums again. I'm holding down the drum chair at a Saturday afternoon open jam session at Rock City Studios ( www.rockcitystudios.org) which is a very cool music studio/school/club that opened up here in Camarillo earlier this year. Plus I'm rehearsing with a classic rock/blues band that wants to gig in the local clubs ... still love to get behind a drumkit and play any kind of music as long as its with solid players.

Last but not least I'd like to wish you all a happy holiday season and hope you make lots of new memories with your families and loved ones. "When its all said and done all you've really got is your family" (50 Years From Now) 2008 is going to be a very good year!
